Exceptional Original Colt Model 1921/1928 U.S. Navy Over Stamp Thompson Submachine Gun with Extra Magazines !!!!
This is an exceptional all original transferable ($200.00 tax stamp on ATF form) Colt Auto Ordnance Thompson 1921/1928 US Navy over stamp submachine gun. This specific submachine gun was original produced in the 1921 configuration, and later, over stamped with “U.S. NAVY MODEL OF 1928”. This model came into being because of the lagging sales for the 1921 series of SMG, and the fact that the USMC successfully used many of these New SMGs in Nicaragua, the Auto Ordnance Company began to remark their inventory with the intent of piquing sales interest to various police and Government agencies. The basic difference between the original 1921 and 1928 configurations is that the latter has a slightly reduced cyclic rate of fire. This series of SMGs are still the best machined and hand fitted SMGs ever produced. They all have a distinctive deep rich blue metal finish with the bolt remaining in the white with excellent deep dark brown walnut, fore grip, pistol grip and buttstock.

Thompson Auto Ordnance 1928 Thompson
This is an Auto Ordnance Thompson Machine Gun Class 3 fully transferable on a FORM 3. Manufactured in the 1970s as part of the “A” suffix serial range. The 1928 Thompson is practically a perfect reproduction of the original vintage “Roaring Twenties” Tommy Gun, the Thompson was one of the great “heavy metal” submachine guns, operating semi or full automatic on an open bolt, fully machined with fine hardwood furniture.
The magazine slot is configured for drum magazines and stick magazines. Internally, there are some differences from the original 1928 pattern, with the bolt handle being a separate component instead of integrally forged and slight variation in the oiler pad design. Included with the item are 5 extra stick magazines and an Auto-Ordnance Type “L” 50-round magazine. Very nice gun with about 75% original blue finish, with some very minor pitting and mild handling marks.

Made December 1991 and in very good condition throughout. Appears unfired!! The Carrier bolt shows practically no use. Includes original box/original instructions. 20rd stick magazine, Drum magazine (very good condition, very slight blemishes, please see photos above), 5x unused MGC .45ACP blowback cartridges (reusable), Horizontal and vertical wood grips.
Fully constructed of metal and wood, there is no plastic whatsoever anywhere.
The Thompson will operate exactly like the real thing in every way, such as Knurled Actuator Knob (cocking handle). safety selector, selectable fire: single and Full auto, loading, ejection of rounds, magazine loading/ removal, locking, adjustable lift-up sights, etc. Functions exactly like the real thing!
This is a very hefty, weighs in around 5.5Kg and that is unloaded!!
